Anna Taylor - Solidarity with Sex Workers Shirt - Centre Chest Logo
Printed on 100% cotton and screen-printed in Canada, these shirts feature a hand illustrated design by East Coast artist and activist Anna Taylor. The design features the words "Solidarity with Sex Workers" within a red umbrella and surrounded by red roses. Red is a colour of beauty and love, the red umbrella is a symbol of resistance to attacks and discrimination, and the roses and wheat are images borrowed from the Women’s Labour Movement. It symbolizes protection from the abuse sex workers are subjected by the police, pimps, customers, and an ignorant and biased society. All proceeds from the sales of this shirt have been split equally between commissioning Anna's design work, and Maggie's: The Toronto Sex Workers Action Project. Maggie's is an organization run for and by local sex workers. Their mission is to assist sex workers in our efforts to live and work with safety and dignity. Shirts are unisex sizing.
